Very heavy duty and well built. Bolt holes lined up without too much tweaking but, they painted the threads of the bolts so be sure to use a little anti-seize to get the bolts to thread in without binding.
I have the naked version of the Honda CTX700. There are no grab bars for the passenger, so when the Shad mounting bracket for a top case arrived there were no flanges to screw it to. The chap at Shad USA sent me, at the fraction of the Honda cost, the needed flanges. Suburb customer service! I then went off and bought a 45 liter Shad to case which looks great on the bike.
Because of when I ordered the mount at the end of November it took until Mid January to actually receive the item communication of the back order status was sparse at best.
The part looks real good and solid. It blends well with the bike. The 2 of the 4 bolts that came with it however were way to long to fit the front holes and needed to be cut to work. Also I had to use a large clamp to force squeeze the mount together because the holes do not exactly line up with the bike. After a 2 hour install that should have only taken 20 minutes I am happy with the look.
I would make a recommendation to SHAD to have a set of long and short bolts in the kit instead of all long and Honda uses covers to complete the look on the back handles the bolts that came with the kit have a different size head and I was unable to reinstall the OEM covers.
Installed the top mount with the P3 mounting system for the SH-36 side cases. I had previously installed the P3 mount. Top mount easily attached to two mounting points on each side of the seat. I took my time and tried a couple of ways to mount so I was happy. This mount was easy to add to the CTX700 as I loosened two bolts on each site of the seat and added the top mount. Happy with look and operation.
